  For the price, the apartment I stayed at was not bad. It did have a few shortcomings such as peeling paint, lukewarm air-conditioning, dangerous electrical heaters, fragile cabinets, no filtered central air (which required me to vacuum frequently and invest in an air purifier due to my allergies), etc., but the conditions were somewhat understandable given the age of the building and the average price of the rent. However, What I did not expect was to be completely blindsided by absurd charges after moving out. Jeff kept the $675 security deposit and billed more for many services that should not have required payment per the tenant or even deemed necessary. I am a clean person, and by no means left the apartment in conditions worse than when moved in, even making sure the place was clean by mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning the kitchen/bathroom before leaving. He will expect you to pay for "de-cobbwebbing the unit", "scrubbing doors, lights, vents", and more asinine charges that should certainly not amount to more than the security deposit, as well as some having already been done. If you choose to stay here, expect to be robbed of your deposit and more.

  HORRIBLE!!!!! I have been a member of this bank for almost 8 years. Up until this last year they have been great. BUT Since june of 2013... All the debit cards I have received have had problems, When I have an issue with my online account they say there going to give me a temporary password and don't, so I can never log into my account. I run a small business out of my home. Not only that, but when you log in online they don't really offer you much compared to the other banks surrounding dekalb. I get charged everytime I use my debit card even if I run it as credit, and now with this "new" card I had to order I can't even run it at all!!!!! MY ACCOUNT APPARENTLY RAN TO 0??? SO THEY CLOSED IT OUT AND DIDNT SAY ANYTHING TO ME ABOUT IT, NO NOTICE, NO EMAIL, NO PHONE CALL. NOTHING. SO DONE WITH THIS BANK I REALLY HAVE TO SAY I WILL BE TAKING MY SERVICES ELSEWHERE BECAUSE YOUR BANK IS HORRIBLE!!

  I highly recommend that no one rents here. Do not be lured by the rent value. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. We moved into a dirty apartment with damaged fixtures and mold. The mold was wiped away; after we called and complained, not actually remediated. The entire electrical system is out dated and not safe. (Half the apartment was on one circuit that tripped often. Fire Hazard.) I was professional and diplomatic with Jeff, the owner and operator. He repairs things reasonably quickly and poorly (superglue.) Not to mention, the damage the apartment already had. There was an iron mark in the carpet that was never repaired. Based on how he treated us. I presume he deducted that from the previous tenant, didn't repair anything and kept the cash. He did the same to us. He told us in the beginning that he cleans and repaints every apartment after every tenant. He doesn't tell you that he will charge you 35$/Hr to do so. Therefore, you can guarantee you will only get 1/2 your deposit back; at best. It's a scam. Don't even bother with this place.
